Elari is switching to Visma Connect: a new, more secure way of signing in. Other Visma applications already use Connect as well. In this article, you determine which situation applies to your organization and which article you should follow.
You can find frequently asked questions in the
Connect FAQ.
Tip: use the
Connect migration tool for step-by-step guidance during the migration, tailored to your situation.
Which situation applies to your organization?
Not sure which situation applies?
- Do you already sign in to another Visma application via a Visma sign-in screen? Then situation 1 applies, even if signing in to Elari currently works differently.
- Do you enter a password yourself on Elari sign-in screen? Then situation 2 applies.
- Do you see your own organization's sign-in screen? Then situation 3 applies.
Still in doubt? Check with your IT department.
What happens during the migration?
You start the migration yourself in Elari via Application management > General > Connect migration. The page shows per step what still needs to be done and only enables the migration button once your situation has been fully set up.
During the migration, Connect creates an account for every employee in Elari. What to expect:
- The migration takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the number of employees.
- Employees can keep working. They sign in the old way until the last employee has been migrated; after that, the Connect sign-in screen appears.
- Employees who sign in with a password keep their own password. If it does not meet the Connect password policy, Connect asks for a new password the next time they sign in. See Password and 2FA policy in Connect.
- After the migration, you can also open Elari via home.visma.com, where you see a tile for every Visma application you have access to.
Please note: the migration page remembers the status of the previous check. Have you just verified a domain or changed your SSO connection? Then click Check again to retrieve the current status from Connect.
Password and 2FA policy
The default Connect password and 2FA policy is described in a separate article:
Password and 2FA policy in Connect. There you can also read what you can adjust yourself for your organization.
